Restoration is Reconciliation at home, at last. To restore is the act of having our relationships and our lives once again in the place God intends. Not only are we restored to the God who created us and to his will and way, but to our own best self. If there is a “going out” impulse in mission, restoration teaches us that there is also a time to “come back in” to the unity of God in Christ and each other.
