Register for New Latino Ministries Directory (September 2008)

We are excited to announce that the Office for Latino/Hispanic Ministry and CDO’s Office for Transition Ministry have developed a bilingual Latino Ministries Directory as a great way for you to offer your gifts for ministry to the Church!  This directory is also a tool which dioceses and congregations can use to assist in their discernment processes for calling clergy and lay professionals.

This easy-to-use online directory offers the following opportunities:
• To assist the deployment and calling of Latino/Hispanic ministers—lay and ordained—by making their skills and experiences known in Spanish and English.
• To promote the deployment and calling of Anglo clergy and lay ministers who are bilingual and/or who feel called to ministry with Latinos/ Hispanics;
• To enable registrants, both Latino/Hispanic and Anglo, to display their unique gifts for Latino/Hispanic ministry by providing another tool in addition to the CDO Profile.
• To provide a database on the ministry and skills of Latino/Hispanic ministers.

This is the first time and place where persons whose primary language is Spanish can make themselves known to bishops, transitions/deployment officers, and congregations in the Episcopal Church through a churchwide vehicle.

We encourage you to register and make known to the Church your leadership skills and experience.  If you are a lay minister, you will first need authorization to register.
